The Chinese Communist Party ist the driving force of chinese success and the strongest promotor of the world peace today. But 80+ years ago the struggle of the comrades was different. It was harsh to heroic. Their members were persecuted, oft tortured and killed in concentration camps. I have visited one yesterday.

The Xifeng Concentration Camp (息烽集中营) was a secret prison established by the Kuomintang (KMT) during the Second Sino-Japanese War (1938–1946).

The barracks for prisoners had quite pretending names: "Chamber of sincerity", "Chamber of filial piety", "Chamber of loyality". But the conditions behind those names were inhuman.

A natural cave named "Cat Cave" was the center of torture and killings.
