Chongqing last day
This morning I went to a Chinese hospital for some blood tests. At the first glance crowds of people, I almost backed up. But the first impression was misleadind. The system is very well organized and fast, the service digitalized, the results come via app, something Germany must still learn.
It's my last day here so I went to the viewing platform to see the city from 71st floor. To me Chongqing is Chinese New York, but without crime, drugs and homelessness.
And without coffee.
Why is it so difficult to get a cup of coffe in China?
Ok, they have Starbucks, but I avoid the outlet because it comes from the enemy. Instead I went to the Chinese bakery chain HEIJA. The lady was a bit surprised that a client asks for coffee. Her first question was "Cold or American?". I replied "Italian" but she didn't get the joke. The next time I will answer that in my country one gets three months in jail for serving cold coffee.
I finally got a cup of "American" but without sugar. They had no sugar but the lady was creative and gave me a large spoon of a syrup they use to prepare drinks
