The Zhaozhou Bridge is located 278 km from Beijing in (straight line) It was built in the year 605 and remains in a perfect condition . The stone bridge has a span of 37 meters. The 5:1 width to height proportion results in a beautiful flat design.

There is a quite touristy surrounding, a museum, souvenir kiosks and ice cream stands. You get there from the city of Shijiazhuang by local bus for 6 RMB.

In the park around there is a large statue commemorating those who actually built the bridge.
